About the Owner

Born in May 1966 I have lived in East London and Essex all my life. After leaving school I studied my lifelong passion at Ware College, passing my City & Guilds and BTEC in General Photography.

Learning new skills all the time I have worked with all types of cameras including a 110 when only 8 years old to a Sinar 5x4 Camera whilst at college. I now use Canon Digital SLR cameras in my studio.

Having mostly worked in photography, my two main jobs since leaving college were a 5 year stint at Sotheby’s Auctioneers (catalogue photography) and 2 years at the M.O.D (weapons & experiments photography). In 1994 I decided to put my skills to good use and started my own business. With a plan but very little money, Phoenix Photographic was born! Many years and 4 children later, we are still going strong today.

I decided to enter Phoenix Photographic into  the Industry's Trade Awards against the UKs best for 3 consecutive Years to see what we could accomplish as an Independent.

We were Thrilled to win all 3 years of entering  -     That's 2012,13 & 14.

Something an Independent Lab has never Achieved before. What an Honour !!
